James Webb Telescope Necklace

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is the most powerful space telescope ever created to date. Designed for infrared astronomy, it peers back to the very beginnings of the universe. At the center of the JWST is its iconic primary mirror. Made from 18 hexagonal gold-plated beryllium mirror segments, this mirror provides more than six times the light-gathering area of the Hubble Space Telescope’s mirror. A Lagrange point is a place in space where the interacting gravity of two massive objects is able to keep a very small object in equilibrium.
